At age 24, Jonathan directed his first independent feature FIGHT NIGHT which won numerous awards on the festival circuit, sold 55,000 units domestically and 27 territories internationally. Jonathan attended the University of Southern California’s school of Cinema and Television. While a sophomore, he was recognized by Project Greenlight and Coca-Cola’s “refreshing filmmaker” competition as one of the top ten young filmmakers in the United States. At USC he studied under screenwriter Mardik Martin (Raging Bull and Mean Streets), and worked with several notable directors including Jake Kasdan (Orange County, Walk Hard) and JJ Abrams (Lost, Star Trek, Star Wars).

He went on to edit two seasons of the very successful TV Series Bite Me, produced by one of the largest channels on Youtube (Machinima) as well as Lionsgate. Dillon stayed in the digital world with the very ambitious project H+: The Digital Series which was produced through Warner Bros. and Brian Singer (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Usual Suspects).

After cutting a few successful short films, Dillon got into the foray of music videos. In 2014 he edited two music videos for the most recently released Counting Crows’ album Somewhere Under Wonderland as well for Phillip Phillps Unpack Your Heart. His passion still lied in longer form storytelling and in the same year Dillon cut two different short projects as well as two features, The Fourth World (starring James Kyson from Heroes) and One Night (starring Anna Kamp from Pitch Perfect, True Blood and Justin Chatwin from War of the Worlds).

2015 started with a bang as Dillon is currently working the indie project Outpost as well as the most recent season of Full Circle, an original drama from DirecTV. The show stars Terry O’Quinn (Lost), Eric McCormack (Will & Grace) and Calista Flockheart (Ally McBeal). He will finish post on One Night that will be looking for a release later in the year as well as pursing other projects he is passionate about.
